General Motors doesn’t just make great vehicles like the all-new 2021 Buick Envision and GMC Sierra 1500. It makes a difference, working toward the vision of a future with zero congestion, zero crashes, and zero emissions. For its aspirations and its actions, GM has once again been named one of Ethisphere’s World’s Most Ethical Companies.
By earning a place among the 2021 World’s Most Ethical Companies, GM achieves the honor for the second consecutive year. Though this year’s awards represent 47 different industries, General Motors is the lone representative from the auto industry.
According to Ethisphere CEO Timothy Erblich, GM was one of this year’s honorees because it demonstrated leadership during the challenging past year. In an effort to combat COVID-19, GM manufactured millions of face masks and 30,000 ventilators. GM also took a leading role in the fight against iniquity, committing $10 million to organizations fighting against racial injustice.
“While addressing the tough challenges of 2020, we saw companies lead – above all other institutions – on earning the trust of stakeholders through resilience and a commitment to ethics and integrity,” said Erblich. “The World’s Most Ethical Companies honorees continue to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the highest values and positively impacting the communities they serve.”
Another key to GM being named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies is its commitment to battling climate change. In addition to pledging to be carbon neutral by 2040, GM is committing $27 billion worldwide to the development of electrified and autonomous vehicles.
You’ll see the fruits of this ethical innovation soon at Temecula Valley Buick GMC in the form of new vehicles like the GMC HUMMER EV and the latest version of Super Cruise™ hands-free technology. Visit our showroom in Temecula Valley, California, to see more of what’s new with Buick and GMC.
