A new trim level is on the way for the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup. Known as the entry-level Elevation, it’s shaping up to be a strong option if you’re looking for a full-size truck at a high-value price in Temecula Valley, California.
The Sierra lineup already includes a regular Elevation trim, but the new entry-level Elevation will be a distinct choice at what’s likely to be a lower price point.
The entry-level Elevation will be available in two bed/cab configurations: Double Cab/Standard Box 4WD and Crew Cab/Short Bed 4WD. Both of these layouts will only be available with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 2.7-liter inline-four turbo engine that generates 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque.
As a value-oriented truck, the entry-level Elevation is likely to offer a smaller selection of standard features than the regular Elevation. Key standard features include large P275/60R20SL all-terrain blackwall tires and a 40/20/40 split-folding front seat. This trim will also receive two standard 120-volt power outlets: one mounted in the bed and one installed in the instrument panel.
We’ll have more details soon on this new trim level. In the meantime, visit us here at Temecula Valley Buick GMC to explore the other exciting options in the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 lineup.
General Motors doesn’t just make great vehicles like the all-new 2021 Buick Envision and GMC Sierra 1500. It makes a difference, working toward the vision of a future with zero congestion, zero crashes, and zero emissions. For its aspirations and its actions, GM has once again been named one of Ethisphere’s World’s Most Ethical Companies.
By earning a place among the 2021 World’s Most Ethical Companies, GM achieves the honor for the second consecutive year. Though this year’s awards represent 47 different industries, General Motors is the lone representative from the auto industry.
According to Ethisphere CEO Timothy Erblich, GM was one of this year’s honorees because it demonstrated leadership during the challenging past year. In an effort to combat COVID-19, GM manufactured millions of face masks and 30,000 ventilators. GM also took a leading role in the fight against iniquity, committing $10 million to organizations fighting against racial injustice.
“While addressing the tough challenges of 2020, we saw companies lead – above all other institutions – on earning the trust of stakeholders through resilience and a commitment to ethics and integrity,” said Erblich. “The World’s Most Ethical Companies honorees continue to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the highest values and positively impacting the communities they serve.”
Another key to GM being named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies is its commitment to battling climate change. In addition to pledging to be carbon neutral by 2040, GM is committing $27 billion worldwide to the development of electrified and autonomous vehicles.
You’ll see the fruits of this ethical innovation soon at Temecula Valley Buick GMC in the form of new vehicles like the GMC HUMMER EV and the latest version of Super Cruise™ hands-free technology. Visit our showroom in Temecula Valley, California, to see more of what’s new with Buick and GMC.
Last year was an unprecedented time for automakers and Americans alike, but we’ve made it into 2021 stronger than ever. Despite the tough times experienced by its contemporaries, GMC entered the new year with a big win for its flagship pickup.
According to market data revealed by Steve Hill, the Vice President of General Motors, GMC’s iconic Sierra pickup truck was one of only two trucks that actually gained market share during 2020. Meanwhile, major competitors saw large drops in sales drop, even as General Motors’ strong performance allowed it to become the highest-selling pickup manufacturer in America.
During 2020, over 250,000 GMC Sierra trucks were sold. This represents an 8.91 percent growth in sales from 2019. Altogether, the GMC Sierra’s market share in the United States increased from 9 percent to 11 percent in 2020.
The GMC Sierra’s big market share gain during a time when most other trucks saw drastic decreases is a testament to its quality. Industry-leading features like the six-function MultiPro tailgate, a first-in-class Head-Up Display, and durable carbon-fiber bed help give the pickup an edge over its competition.
If you want to see for yourself why the GMC Sierra defied the odds and gained market share during 2020, visit Temecula Valley GMC for a test drive today.
Sophistication is a given in the GMC Denali lineup, which is known for its unique, high-end designs, powerful engines, and advanced features. These models often showcase the latest in technology and performance, so it makes perfect sense to hear that the 2022 GMC Sierra Denali is on the list to be one of the very few, select vehicles to receive the Super Cruise hands-free driving technology.
As of now, there’s no technology that’s 100% autonomous, but the Super Cruise technology is about as close as it gets. Super Cruise works on over 200,000 miles of pre-mapped, divided highways in North America. When you’re behind the wheel of a 2022 Sierra Denali on one of these roads, and Super Cruise is turned on, you’ll be able to take your hands off of the steering wheel and your foot off of the acceleration.
Super Cruise works by adding on to driver-assist features that may already be familiar to you. It uses adaptive cruise control to manage the speed through braking and acceleration. A setup of cameras and sensors paired with GPS and LiDAR map data tell Super Cruise where it’s going.
Driver awareness is essential, even with this near-autonomous feature. Super Cruise maintains your attention on the road by using a camera mounted behind the wheel to ensure you’re watching the road. If not, Super Cruise will turn off.
If you can’t wait for the 2022 model year to get your hands on a shiny new GMC Sierra Denali, don’t hesitate to come check out our large selection at Temecula Valley Buick GMC, right here in Temecula Valley, California.
GMC recently debuted the 2021 Canyon AT4 Off-Road Performance Edition. This new edition is better equipped to handle rough paths, trail obstacles, and the other challenges of going on off-roading adventures.
The AT4 Off-Road Performance Package includes performance front and mid skid plates to protect the truck’s lower radiator, steering gear, oil pan, and front differential when driving on rocky trails. The off-road rocker panel protector and spray-in bedliner further keep the truck safe and in good condition.
The special edition takes away the truck’s front air dam and adds a 1-inch suspension leveling kit. This allows the pickup to reach an impressive approach angle of roughly 30 degrees, which is more than a 35-percent improvement.
All-weather floor liners keep the cabin cleaner when traveling, while 17-inch gloss-Black aluminum wheels give the Canyon a more aggressive look. Carbon Black AT4 badges and a gloss Black performance exhaust tip make the truck stand out more on drives.
With or without the AT4 Off-Road Performance Package, the Canyon AT4 comes with 31-inch GoodYear® Wrangler DuraTrac® tires and the 308-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine. Its off-road-tuned suspension package and Advanced Hill Descent Control System also create comfortable and smooth rides.

At first glance, the stunning 2022 GMC Hummer EV looks like it was ripped straight from some 20th-century artists’ renderings of futuristic extra-planetary life. It looks like GMC agrees because the automaker has included a few Easter eggs in the super-truck that serve as a nod to its out-of-this-world appearance.
The first hint about the GMC Hummer’s clever Easter egg lies in the name of its standard color scheme: Lunar Horizon. While the name is fitting for the high-contrast, space-age interior design, it is also meant to evoke extra-terrestrial thoughts.
Though spotting the Easter egg on your own is certainly more fun, Temecula Valley GMC is always looking to make your life easier. The Hummer’s big secret — which can be seen on the EV Edition 1 — is embossed on the premium speakers in the super-truck’s cabin.
When you first see it, the Easter egg might appear to be a nautical map of an earthly body of water. In reality, the topography actually depicts the Sea of Tranquility, the lunar mare where Neil Armstrong took his first steps on the moon. All the moon imagery in the GMC Hummer is especially fitting when you consider that General Motors actually designed the Lunar Roving Vehicle — another EV — that was used for the Apollo missions.
Though the Edition 1 of the Hummer EV sold out in record time, you can contact Temecula Valley GMC to reserve your 2022 Hummer today.

Though just about everyone knows that GMC plans to revive the Hummer as an all-electric vehicle, we’ve only had a few details to keep us fed until the automaker officially releases specifications later this fall. Ahead of the GMC Hummer EV’s official unveiling, we’ve compiled a list of what we know about the iconic nameplate’s rebirth so far.
Be One with Nature: The all-new GMC Hummer EV is reported to have modular sky panels and an open-air infinity roof. Most experts believe this means the GMC Hummer will come with removable roof panels that allow you to commune with nature when you’re on-the-go.
Dual Form-Factors: The original Hummer had the power of a pickup truck and the aggressive form of an SUV. Based on several promotional photos teasing the rebooted Hummer’s silhouette, it appears drivers will be able to pick between either a Hummer SUV with a rear-mounted tire or a Hummer truck with a sizeable cabin and functional bed.
It’s Electric: Perhaps the most surprising revelation about the brand-new GMC Hummer is that it is expected to be an all-electric powerhouse. This new zero-emissions engine is a far cry from the original Hummer’s oft-maligned reputation as a gas-guzzler. The Hummer EV will feature an innovative Utium battery that charges at lightning speed.
